Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I am a LASIK candidate?
While LASIK vision correction surgery is the most common type of refractive eye procedure, some patients are not candidates due to specific abnormalities within one or both eyes, previous eye injuries, eye diseases or other factors. In order to determine your eligibility for LASIK, the optometrists at Triad Eye Institute must perform a complete screening of your eyes.

Triad Eye Institute offers FREE LASIK screenings.  Call 918-252-2020 to schedule your FREE screening.

Can I use my FSA funds for LASIK?
Yes! In fact, depending on you income, you may be able to save as much as $2000 off LASIK using your employer-provided flexible spending account (FSA). These accounts allow employees the ability to set aside pre-tax dollars for approved medical expenses.
Can I finance my LASIK procedure?

Triad Eye Institute is proud to offer complete procedure financing through Care Credit.  No interest financing is available when the balance is paid in full within the term.  Financing is WAC and some restrictions will apply. If you have questions about financing with Care Credit at Triad Eye Institute, please speak with a LASIK Patient Counselor at 918-252-2020.

Does insurance cover LenSx® Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery?
No. LenSx laser-assisted cataract surgery is a “refractive” procedure and therefore not considered medically necessary. The LenSx portion of the cataract surgery is considered an elective upgrade. Private insurance and Medicare benefits will only apply to the professional fees, facility and anesthesia, then an additional fee is required for the LenSx laser and any premium lenses.

Please call 918-252-2020 and speak with a Triad Eye Surgical Counselor for more information.

Does Care Credit cover any upgrades with my cataract surgery?
Yes. Care Credit can be used towards any procedure at Triad Eye Institute including premium lens upgrades for cataract removal procedures and oculoplastic procedures.  Call call 918-252-2020 and speak with a Triad Eye Surgical Counselor for more information on using Care Credit at Triad Eye.
What insurance plans do you accept?
We are in-network for most major insurance plans, however, because the plans are constantly changing, we ask that you please call (918) 252-2020 and ask to speak with a patient counselor to confirm if we accept your particular plan.
