Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) – The Best LASIK Alternative
If you’re looking for a safe, effective alternative to LASIK, Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery might be the perfect solution for you. At Triad Eye Institute, we offer ICL surgery to patients in Bentonville, Fayetteville, and across Arkansas who want to achieve clear vision without the limitations of glasses or contacts.
Triad Eye Institue is the regional leader in advanced surgical and specialty eye care.

How Does ICL Work?
ICL is a minimally invasive procedure that involves placing a thin, flexible lens inside your eye to correct vision. Unlike LASIK, which reshapes the cornea, ICL works with your eye’s natural structure. This makes it an excellent option for patients with thin corneas or high prescriptions.
Key Benefits of ICL:
Reversible: The lens can be removed or replaced if needed.
No Dry Eye: ICL doesn’t cause dry eye syndrome, a common side effect of LASIK.
Quick Recovery: Most patients experience improved vision within 24 hours.
High Patient Satisfaction: Over 99% of ICL patients report being happy with their results.
ICL vs. LASIK: What’s Right for You?
Both ICL and LASIK are excellent options for vision correction, but they work differently.
Here’s how to decide:
LASIK: Best for patients with mild to moderate prescriptions and healthy corneas.
ICL: Ideal for patients with high prescriptions, thin corneas, or dry eye concerns.
Still unsure? Our team can help you determine which procedure is right for you during a free consultation.
