Bio
Dr. Neel M. Kumar was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He knew very early that he wanted to become a physician. While in medical school, he served on the medical school admission committee and was chosen for the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award, which is selected by fellow medical students for “exhibiting outstanding humanism in medicine and integrity.” He then went on to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at Louisiana State University and The Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA where he was nominated to serve as the Chief Resident. Dr. Kumar completed his fellowship training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, orbit, and lacrimal system at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and the Duke Eye Hospital in Durham, NC. Dr. Kumar has given multiple research presentations across the nation and currently practices at the Triad Eye Institute in Tulsa, OK. He is board certified and performs a variety of oculoplastic procedures, including ptosis repair, upper and lower blepharoplasty, cancer reconstruction, tear duct surgery and more. He and his wife enjoy traveling, photography and discovering local cuisine in their spare time.
