Position Summary

The Technician plays a key role in supporting providers by gathering important clinical information needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This position is responsible for both administrative and clinical duties, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and specialized testing, coordinating patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers during patient visits. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional patient care are essential.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Prepare patients for examinations and explain preliminary testing procedures
    • Perform diagnostic and screening tests as directed by providers
    • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists with exams and in-office procedures
    • Coordinate scheduling and help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
    • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, medications, and supplies
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff
    • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership or providers
